Additional Peacekeepers Bound For Central African Republic, Says Minister

The Zambian government plans to send another peacekeeping contingent to the Central African Republic in the near future, says a senior Zambian defense official cited by the Times of Zambia (Ndola).

More than 750 Zambian troops are already with the peacekeeping mission there.

Deputy Defense Minister Christopher Mulenga made his comments late last week on arrival in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for a regional meeting on security and defense.
