The governments of China and Japan have agreed to an early launch of a maritime and air crisis management mechanism aimed at preventing unwanted clashes around the disputed East China Sea islands, reports the Kyodo news agency (Japan).
The accord was reached during talks in Tokyo on Monday, said Japanese Defense Minister Gen Nakatani.
