A Filipino militant from the Abu Sayyaf group has reportedly been killed in a drone airstrike in Pakistan's tribal areas, the New York Times reports.
A suspected U.S. unmanned aircraft hit a compound Jan. 14 in the Shaktu area of South Waziristan, apparently targeting Pakistani Taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud, Pakistani intelligence officials said.
