Abrams Tanks, Bradleys On The Way To 2nd ID In S. Korea

The U.S. Army is about to equip the 2nd Infantry Division in South Korea with new armored vehicles, reports the Army News Service.

Delivery of new M1A2 Abrams tanks and M2A2 Bradley fighting vehicles could start this month and should be completed by May 2011, said the commander of the 8th Army.

The new vehicles are fitted with improved tracking systems, fire-control systems and armor compared to the division's current fleet.
