About 4,000 Service Members To Lose Jobs

Nearly 4,000 British service members are being laid off in the second round of personnel cuts, the U.K. Ministry of Defense reports.
Personnel from all three services were notified on Tuesday if their jobs were being declared redundant.
The Royal Navy and Royal Marines notified approximately 170 personnel that they were redundant; 120 were applicants for the redundancy program.
The army let go about 2,900 personnel, including about 2,100 applicants.
