At least eight soldiers have been killed in an attack by militants on a military checkpoint in Yemen's Marib province, reports the Yemen Post.
Dozens of fighters from Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) stormed the post early Tuesday in four pickup trucks in the al-Shabkar area, said military officials.
The troops killed five militants, said officials. Four soldiers were reported wounded.
