Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has ordered a military operation after the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) reportedly attacked a military camp in the northern region, reports the Guardian (U.K.).
The operation in the northern Tigray region began on Wednesday, reported Reuters.
Abiy said that the government was forced to react following a TPLF attack on military camps in the region in which attackers tried to loot equipment, reported Agence France-Presse.
