Aachen Treaty Aims To Strengthen Cooperation With France

French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel have signed an agreement reaffirming their cooperation, reports the Guardian (U.K).
On Tuesday, the leaders signed a 16-page update to the 1963 Elysee treaty in the German border city of Aachen.
The leaders pledged to deepen cooperation in foreign affairs, defense, security and development, including providing all aid and assistance in the event of an attack.
