Indian security forces say they have killed several Maoist militants during an operation in the Dantewada district of India's central Chhattisgarh state, reports the Press Trust of India.
According to police, the operation started after specific intelligence was received. At that point, a team from the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 111 Battalion, two special police officers and four state police circled the militants in the jungles of Jagargunda.
