9 Killed In Crash Of Air Force Fokker F27 In Jakarta

An Indonesian air force Fokker F27 on a training mission has crashed in the capital, reports the Jakarta Post.

At least nine people were killed in Thursday's crash in Jakarta, including six of the seven crew members, said a military spokesman.

The plane took off from Halim Perdanakusumah air force base in Jakarta and crashed into the air force housing complex while trying to land at the end of its flight. At least eight houses were destroyed, said the spokesman.
