At least eight military personnel have been killed in an attack in the northeastern Borno State, reports the Daily Trust (Nigeria).
On Tuesday, the militants attacked troops digging trenches outside the town of Mainok.
The insurgents approached the base in a stolen police armored personnel carrier.
The attack lasted about 30 minutes. On Wednesday, two soldiers were still missing, a military source told the Premium Times (Lagos).
