At least eight police officers have been killed in a Taliban attack in northern Afghanistan, reports the Indo-Asian News Service.
On Wednesday night, several hundred militants attacked the Safar-ba-Khair security checkpoint in Baghlan province, said Safdar Mooseni, the head of the provincial council, as cited by Xinhua, China's state news agency.
