Pakistani security forces say they killed eight militants in fresh clashes Wednesday in Orakzai tribal agency, Pakistan's Dawn reports.
Troops attacked militant hideouts in the Ghandakai area, officials said.
Two training facilities and several insurgent hideouts were reportedly destroyed.
Pakistani officials later said that a total of 39 Taliban fighters were killed Wednesday in various incidents in Orakzai during the ongoing offensive, reported the Daily Times (Pakistan).
