As the U.S. Navy rebalances its forces in the Pacific, the service has a new task force in Guam.
On Friday, the service established Commander, Task Force 75 (CTF-75) at Camp Covington at Naval Base Guam, reports the Navy NewsStand.
The task force will be responsible for Navy Expeditionary Combat Forces within the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief as well as combat operations, according to a Navy release.
