Six Pakistani security personnel have been injured by mortar rounds said to have been fired by Afghan troops across the border, reports Dawn (Pakistan).
The rounds hit a security checkpoint in the Angoor Adda area in South Waziristan on Wednesday, according to Pakistani officials.
Tensions have been rising along the border in Khyber Agency and South Waziristan over the last few days, said security sources.
Details about the incident are sketchy.
