Six communist rebels have been killed in fighting in the central Philippines, a military commander said Monday.
Security forces fought with New People's Army rebels in the Visayas and Mindanao regions, reports the Manila Bulletin.
One soldier was also killed in the fighting, the commander said. Eighteen people were reported wounded.
