The Taliban beheaded six Afghan police during a Tuesday raid on government buildings in northern Baghlan province, NATO's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) reports.
The militants took control of a police checkpoint and beheaded the victims, said NATO officials. Eventually, the national police repelled the insurgent attack in Dahanah-ye Ghori district.
A school, clinic and the district governor's building were said to be the targets of the insurgents.
