The Israeli military says it shot and wounded five Palestinian workers near the Gaza border fence, injuring five, the Jerusalem Post reports.
The Palestinians said they had been collecting stone fragments near the border in the northern Gaza Strip.
The military said troops opened fire after the men came too close to the border fence. There had reportedly been a series of sniper attacks in the area.
