5 More ScanEagle UAVs Ordered For Security Forces From U.S.

The U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., has awarded a contract to Insitu, Bingen, Wash., for additional unmanned aerial vehicles for the Afghan security forces, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The US$19.6 million delivery order under a previously issued basic ordering agreement covers five ScanEagle unmanned aircraft systems; spare parts; support equipment; and associated technical support, said a Pentagon release on Tuesday.
