At least four Nigerian soldiers and an allied militia fighter have been killed in fighting with the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in northeastern Nigeria, reports Agence France-Presse.
On Saturday, troops engaged an ISWAP convoy near Jakana, about 25 miles (40 km) west of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state, said a military officer.
