300 Japanese Troops Join Rising Thunder Drills In Yakima, Wash.

The U.S. Army and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force have just begun their annual joint exercise at the Yakima Training Center, Wash., reports the Army News Service.

The drill started on Tuesday and runs through Sept. 25.

About 300 Japanese personnel from the 10th Division are taking part, along with about 275 Americans from the 2-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 7th Infantry Division. Personnel from the U.S. 16th Combat Aviation Brigade are also participating.
