The first three of six Indian C-130J Super Hercules are nearing completion at the Lockheed Martin plant in Marietta, Ga., the defense firm reports.
India ordered six of the transports plus support. The first delivery is scheduled for February 2011, company officials said.
Lockheed noted that the C-130Js will give India's army and air force new special operations capabilities.
