3 Niger Delta Militant Commanders Disarm

One of the leading militants in Nigeria's oil-rich Niger Delta region has agreed to a government amnesty deal, reports BBC News.
The man called Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo -- who heads the primary rebel faction in the western Delta -- agreed to disarm in return for cash and education for his fighters.
Two other commanders from the eastern Delta, Ateke Tom and Farah Dagogo, also agreed to put down their arms on Saturday.
