The governments of Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala are deploying a new joint task force to combat gangs and organized crime along their shared borders, reports Latin America's Telesur TV.
The "Northern Triangle" where the countries meet is one of the most violent in the world, known for gangs and organized crime.
The force was officially launched in a ceremony on Tuesday in the western Honduran city of Ocotepeque, reported the BBC.
