Kuwait has ordered KC-130J military tankers from the United States through the U.S. Foreign Military Sales program, reports Lockheed Martin, builder of the aircraft.
The US$245 million contract covers three aircraft, which will provide aerial refueling for Kuwait's F/A-18 fighters and augment its airlift capabilities.
The KC-130Js are also expected to conduct air mobility, disaster relief and humanitarian missions worldwide on behalf of Kuwait.
