3 Darfur Factions Combine To Resist Khartoum

Three armed rebel factions in Darfur in western Sudan recently formed a new group that does not intend to abide by a unilateral cease-fire announced by the Sudanese government, reports the Sudan Tribune.

The new Sudan Liberation Force Alliance (SLFA) comprises the Sudan Liberation Movement for Justice; Sudan Liberation Movement-Unity; and the Justice and Equality Movement led by Abdallah Bishr Gali, said a statement provided to the newspaper on Friday.
