The Congolese military says it has killed 25 rebels since launching an operation late last month in the country's eastern North Kivu province, reports BBC News.
Seven government troops have been killed since the operation began on Oct. 30 near the city of Beni, said the army.
The operation targets the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), a militant Islamist group that has been blamed for the deaths of hundreds of Congolese civilians.
