22 Seahawk Helicopters Sought From U.S.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency has notified the U.S. Congress of a possible Foreign Military Sale to Qatar for 22 Seahawk helicopters for maritime patrol.
The possible sale has been estimated at US$2.5 billion, said an agency release last week.
Qatar is seeking 10 MH-60R Seahawk multi-mission helicopters and 12 MH-60S Seahawk multi-mission helicopters with the armed helicopter modification kit, as well as 48 T-700 GE 401C Engines (44 installed and four spare).
