An Indian army officer and a trooper were killed Wednesday in a clash with militants in Jammu and Kashmir, RTT News reports.
Fighting broke out during an operation to flush out militants in Chattibandi. Troops were laying a cordon near a suspected militant hideout when the separatists opened fire, said officials.
The militants escaped after the firefight, said officials. A search operation has been launched.
