Pakistan—2 Soldiers Killed In Militant Attack In S. Waziristan

Two Pakistani soldiers have been killed in an attack on an army checkpoint in South Waziristan, reports the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the official military news service. On Wednesday, unidentified militants opened fire on a security checkpoint near Pash Ziarat in South Waziristan, killing two soldiers and injuring another. The army subsequently launched an operation to clear the area.
