Taiwan's Aerospace Industrial Development Corp. (AIDC) has displayed two prototype trainer aircraft for a potential Taiwanese air force program, reports the Taipei Times.
The air force is seeking to upgrade its aging fleet of 66 trainer aircraft.
The AIDC showed off the prototypes of the XAT-5, a cutback variant of the Ching-Kuo indigenous defense fighter, as well as an upgraded version of its AT-3 trainer at the Taipei Aerospace and Defense Technology Exhibition last week. ...
