Two more U.S. naval commanders have lost their jobs amid investigations concerning collisions, reported the Hill (Washington, D.C.).
The head of the 7th Fleet fired the two, the Navy said on Monday. Vice Adm. Phil Sawyer, the newly installed commanding officer of the 7th Fleet, relieved Task Force 70 commander Rear Adm. Charles Williams and Destroyer Squadron 15 commander Capt. Jeffrey Bennett, said a statement cited by the Navy Times.
