2 More Japanese Patrol Boats Handed Over To Coast Guard

Japan has donated two 600-ton patrol boats to the Vietnamese coast guard, reports the Jiji Press (Japan).

The vessels were handed over Tuesday in the Vietnamese port city of Danang.

Tokyo last year agreed to provide six used patrol boats to help Vietnam deal with increased tensions and territorial disputes in the South China Sea.

Two were previously delivered; the last two are supposed to be supplied by the end of 2015.
