2 More AWACS Planes Sought From Russia

The Indian air force plans will order two more Russian-made airborne warning and control system (AWACS) aircraft, RIA Novosti reports.

The Times of India reported the plans on Monday.

New Delhi in 2004 ordered three A-50EI variants fitted with Israeli-made Phalcon radar systems. The first plane was delivered late in May 2009, and the second in March 2010. The third is expected before the end of the year.
