A Japanese-owned, Israeli-managed cargo ship has come under attack in the northern Indian Ocean, reports the Jerusalem Post.
On Thursday, the Liberian-flagged M/T Mercer Street was attacked near the island of Masirah, about 185 miles (300 km) south of Muscat, the capital of Oman.
The vessel was sailing from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, carrying no cargo at the time.
