2 Die In Cross-Border Attack By Ethiopian Forces

A Sudanese military officer and a civilian have been killed in a cross-border attack by an Ethiopian militia along Sudan's southern frontier, reports the Sudan Tribune (Paris).
On Thursday, militiamen crossed the border near the Atbara River to collect water, said a Sudanese military spokesman.
Sudanese troops prevented the attempt, wounding a militiaman.
The gunmen retreated to an Ethiopian army camp before returning with the support of Ethiopian troops.
