Two Syrian children were probably killed in a U.S.-led coalition airstrike late year, the Pentagon has acknowledged, reports the Guardian (U.K.).
The strikes took place on Nov. 5 and 6, and targeted the Al-Qaida-linked Khorasan Group, according to a statement released Thursday by the Defense Dept.
An internal investigation was opened following the release of a YouTube video and reports from the Syrian Network for Human Rights, reported the Daily Beast.
