For 1st Time In 8 Years, Services To Get New Commanders

President Dilma Rousseff has announced the appointments of new commanders for the various Brazilian armed services, reports the Folha de Sao Paulo.

The new commanders will be the first for the air force, army and navy in eight years. The announcement was made on Wednesday.

Adm. Eduardo Bacellar Leal Ferreira will succeed Adm. Julio Soares de Moura Neto as navy chief. Ferreira is currently the head of the Higher War School.
