Members of the British Royal Air Force are training the first batch of female helicopter pilots in Kabul, reports the U.K. Ministry of Defense.
The Thunder Lab flight school, part of the NATO Air Training Command (Afghanistan), is designed to help ease the transition for Afghan air force officers who are headed to the United States for pilot training, said the ministry.
The program includes language, aviation and professional skills, according to an MoD release.
