The first of four maritime helicopters being built for the Polish navy has begun testing, reports the manufacturer, Leonardo.
On Monday, the Polish AW101 flew for the first time at the company’s site in Yeovil in the U.K.
The flight focused on functional checks of the main airframe systems and the control system. Engine-handling checks at the same time monitored the speed range of the aircraft, said Leonardo.
