At least 10 Nigerian soldiers and nine militants have been killed in clashes in Nigeria's northeastern Borno state, reports Agence France-Presse.
On Wednesday, suspected Boko Haram militants ambushed a patrol in the Damboa district, said an anonymous officer.
The ambush took place on the edge of the Sambisa Forest, which is a primary base for the Boko Haram faction led by Abubaker Shekau.
The patrol was part of an operation to flush out militants from the area, said the officer....
