Panama is again hosting the annual multinational military exercise aimed at defending the Panama Canal, reports Mercopress (Uruguay).
The 10-day exercise, scheduled to conclude on Aug. 27, is co-hosted by the U.S. Southern Command.
The training is designed to improve regional cooperation to respond to potential threats to the Panama Canal, as well as humanitarian assistance and disaster relief contingencies.
