Afghan provincial authorities say at least three civilians were among those killed by a NATO airstrike against militant targets in southern Helmand province, Reuters reports.
The attack on Saturday killed five senior Taliban leaders and a dozen other fighters, said the provincial police chief. Four civilians were also reported wounded.
