A suicide bomber has killed at least 17 people and injured 30 others in northern Afghanistan, reports the Voice of America News.
Authorities said the blast took place Wednesday in a crowded marketplace in Almar district of Faryab province.
No group immediately claimed responsibility, though the Taliban has carried out similar attacks.
A district official said some of the wounded were in critical condition, reported AFP.
