Pakistani security forces say they killed 15 militants on Monday in a gunfight in the Kurram tribal district near the border with Afghanistan, Pakistan's Dawn reports.
The clash was sparked by a militant attack on a police checkpoint in the Tindo area, said officials with the paramilitary Frontier Corps. Eight security personnel received minor injuries, said officials.
