14 Militants Killed In S. Waziristan Assault

At least 14 Taliban militants have been killed in the latest fighting in the military offensive in Pakistan's South Waziristan tribal agency, Pakistan's Dawn reports.

Two troops were also killed, and three more were wounded, Pakistani military officials said Friday.

Security forces have secured the Asman Manza area in Shakai, while search and clearance operations have been started in Kaniguram, said a military spokesman.
