Mechanical problems have been blamed for Friday's crash of a Colombian air force plane has crashed in the country's north that killed all 11 aboard, reports CNN.
The CN235 transport aircraft went down in a rural area near Agustin Codazzi, about 380 miles north of the capital Bogota.
Officials said the aircraft reported an engine failure before the crash. Some local residents suggested the plane had been struck by lightning, reported the BBC.
