10 Killed In Helicopter Crash On Drug-Fighting Mission

A Venezuelan National Guard helicopter has crashed, killing 10 personnel in the southwest Apure state, on the Colombian border, reports the Wall Street Journal.
The troops were in a Mi-17 helicopter, taking part in counter-drug operations, when the aircraft went down shortly after taking off from a clearing, said Gen. Luis Alfredo Motta.
Three officers and seven enlisted personnel died in the crash, said the general.
