10 Killed In Cross-Border Firing In Kashmir

At least 10 soldiers and civilians have been killed during a round of cross-border shelling by Indian and Pakistani forces in the disputed Kashmir region, reports the Hindu (Chennai). 

On Saturday, India received information that terrorists were attempting to cross from Pakistan into India in Tangdhar, said Indian army chief Gen. Bipin Rawat. Pakistani artillery fire on Indian outposts occurred simultaneously with the infiltration attempt.
