Al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya (GI), or Islamic Group (IG).

Largely inactive. Historically, the IG operated in southern Egypt – largely in Al-Minya, Asyut, Qina and Sohaj governorates. The group had a large presence in other countries too, in part because of its exile population.
